What better way to greet a new day than with beauty, music, community, and eyes fixed on the future?

The dawn concert kicks off the 16^th edition of the Little Opera Festival with intimate and poetic chamber music. The string section from the GO! Borderless Orchestra are the focal point for this morning concert, performing in collaboration with NOVA quartet in dialogue with the young, Slovene soprano Gaja Sorč. All this accompanied by a welcoming and delicious breakfast against the dream-like backdrop of Spessa Castle.

The instrumentalists are young Italian and Slovene soloists, brought together under the GO! Borderless Orchestra project which was born from and lies at the heart of the European Capital of Culture initiative. The Orchestra was established and promoted by the Little Opera Festival in collaboration with the Lojze Bratuž Kulturni centre, the Emil Komel Slovene Centre for the Musical Education, Glasbeno društvo NOVA (to whom we owe the NOVA Quartet’s collaboration), and Glasbena šola Nova Gorica. Gaja Sorč, who graduated from the Ljubljana Music Academy, is not only an active soloist in her country, but has also performed at the Berlin Opera Academy.
